Andi Gilang and Dimas Ekky have moved to Barcelona, far away from their native Indonesia, to improve their preparation for the competition.
Andi Gilang and Dimas Ekky have taken a big step forward in their careers in 2017. On a personal level, with the full support of Astra Honda Motor, the two riders have been living in Barcelona for the first time, away from their home and family in Indonesia. Their aim is to eventually become MotoGP World Championship riders.
Their adventure began between late March and early April, when Gilang and Dimas arrived in Santa Margarida i Els Monjos, a small town in Barcelona with little more than 7,000 inhabitants. There, they live under the tutelage of members of Bruno Performance, a company specialised in motorcycle racing that offers them all the facilities possible to adapt and train at the maximum level. The components of this team are the same that accompany Dimas in the Moto2 European Championship, backed by previous experience with other riders currently competing in the World Championship.
